GET EXCITED.

Jimmy + SNL + Christmas = perfection to me. Not only for the inevitable “I Wish It Was Christmas Today” performance, but also because his was the first SNL Best Of DVD I ever bought. And I bought it as a White Elephant gift for a Christmas party… and then I pretended like I HADN’T brought it to the party and I picked it and then no one stole it from me because none of the kids I grew up with had the same tastes as me. Basically the whole thing was a ruse to get my mom to buy me this DVD. I paired it with Adam Sandler’s Big Daddy, which was like, the height of comedy as a middle schooler. She asked me skeptically at the time of the DVDs’ purchase, “Will kids want this?” And I said, Oh yes, definitely. And I was both disappointed and excited at the crowds’ general disinterest at what I considered a dream gift.

This is what I think of when I think of Jimmy Fallon and Christmas in tandem.
